Welcome to Ego Central, a community of those who create and enjoy the arts, entertainment and literature.

We’re located in the unique Parnassus at the junction of the southwest corner of Los Angeles County and the northwest corner of Orange County in California. While we’re focused on activities in this area, the world is invited to join us virtually to exchange information about outstanding works and performances from the beginning of recorded history up to a minute ago. I’m the arts and entertainment reporter for the Long Beach Press-Telegram, and there will be many connections here to that newspaper, as well as some echoes from my years as a rock critic in Chicago in the 1970s.

This site was created because I wanted a place to go to that was stimulating and challenging, but most of all, fun. I’m looking forward to your ideas that will make it even more so.
